That's a neat set-up you have there! Do you let them out to forage during the day?

Yes, they get out during the day to forage. Right now I have only been letting them out when I'm home due to a terrible coyote problem we have been having. I do have a grazing pen attached to their regular pen though. I am a little gunshy. I have lost a lot of ducks and those darn coyotes chased my dog all the way to the barn the other morning. They didn't back off until my husband threw rocks at them. They are pretty bold. I'm almost convinced that they have some dog in them. My cousin is coming up in a few weeks with some snares and we are going to try and eliminate a few. Thanks for answering my posts. I was beginning to wonder if this was a ghost forum... I hope my pictures aren't too big. I tried resizing them twice and they still want to pull up that bigger size! Darn!

This forum is just getting off the ground and not a lot of people know about it yet. It's sort of a sister-forum to the Muscovy Duck Group on MSN. Some people don't like groups and prefer forums so I like having both although right now it's really hard to keep track of everything! If you visit any other sites that you'd like to share the URL with feel free. Never hurts to get the word out as much as we can.
Thankfully we have a perimeter fence and I've only known two times where coyotes have come onto the property here. They might come around more often but I have a LGD that has free run of the place. I don't really have much loss to predation.

Love the pink! Nice Muscovies! I used to have a predator problem until I got great Pyrenees dogs, now I never take a loss...might give that breed a thought. Mine love the poultry, won't even let a hawk come near.
